J&E Fernandez, Inc. was established in 1985 by Jose and Estrella Fernandez. Initially, the business started as an elective during their college years and has now been in operation for over 35 years. Jose, who was originally studying computer tech, discovered his passion for accounting during his freshman year and subsequently declared it as his major.
Despite being a full-time student and working as a supervisor at Tampa Armature Work in 1975, Jose managed to accomplish his academic goals while raising three young sons (AJG) at home. Once he earned his degree in Accounting, Jose left his long-term job, and together with Estrella, they embarked on a new journey of starting an accounting firm without any existing clients. Estrella, who had a thriving career as a mortgage broker, left her job to support their shared vision of owning a successful accounting firm.
In the early '80s, Estrella's parents generously gifted Jose his first computer, typewriter, calculator, printer, and a desk to help them launch their business. Through dedication, persistence, and a tenacious spirit, Jose and Estrella are now the President and Vice-President of a highly regarded accounting firm and Payroll company that caters to hundreds of businesses across the United States.
